WHAT IS SERENITY USED FOR
We find Serenity to have a positive effect on anxiety, pain relief as well as pain.
Dosage: Take 1-3 capsules when needed, or as prescribed by your health practitioner.
INGREDIENTS:
Red Kratom
Red Bali Kratom is another very calming strain. This strain is a very popular sedating strain. Red Bali is perfect for evening use as it will also assist with relaxation and sleep, making it ideal for severe anxiety, panic attacks and PTSD.
Red Bali Kratom Kratom is recommended for: ADHD, PTSD, Insomnia, Anxiety and Depression
The most pronounced effects of Kratom are similar to opiate medication (without the side effects), in that it provides pain relief, but also increases energy levels and alleviates anxiety and depression. The strength of Kratom is comparable to Tramadol and Codeine.
Kratom treats pain in many different ways. It blocks the pain signals to the brain in the same way that opioid medication does, it acts as an anti inflammatory,
and it relaxes the muscles. Kratom also treats the emotional and mental symptoms that often accompany chronic pain such as depression, anxiety, sleeplessness and fatigue.
Niacinamide B3
Studies have shown that vitamin B3 benefits brain health and may help protect against Alzheimer’s disease and other age-related brain disorders linked to cognitive decline.
Niacinamide is also used for treating and preventing schizophrenia and hallucinations. Plus, some studies and case reports have found therapeutic effects of niacin for depression, bipolar disorder and other psychiatric disorders as well. B3 also aids in balancing the circadian cycle of sleep.
L-Tryptophan
Tryptophan is an essential amino acid that acts like a natural mood regulator, since it has the ability to help the body produce and balance certain hormones naturally.
Tryptophan has shown to be a natural mood lifter and offer protection against depression, anxiety and the numerous negative symptoms associated with high stress levels.
Many studies have found that L-tryptophan converts to calming serotonin in the brain and helps make other essential amino acids more available, which in turn helps control someone’s moods and turn down production of stress hormones.
There’s evidence that tryptophan has natural sedative effects that can help you sleep better, and as a result it can help improve overall health. A lack of sleep is a risk factor for problems like depression, decline in motor coordination, reduced concentration and memory, muscle aches, weight gain, and more.
Tryptophan offers a natural remedy for getting better sleep and reducing problems associated with sleep apnea or insomnia, all without the need for sleep-inducing prescriptions that can cause many unwanted side effects.
The strongest benefits for treating sleep disorders with L-tryptophan have been found when using supplements, rather than just food sources of tryptophan alone. Supplements have been found to help decrease the amount of time it takes to fall asleep, improve mood the day next following better sleep quality, decrease
teeth grinding during sleep (called bruxism) and decrease sleep apnea episodes during sleep (periodically stopping breathing throughout the night).
Gamma-aminobutyric acid
Gamma-aminobutyric acid, also known as GABA, is a neurotransmitter that helps send messages between the brain and the nervous system. Its main function is to calming the activity of nerve cells in the nervous system. A good amount of emerging research has found that it could play a role in many conditions, including
depression, anxiety and stress, by decreasing neuronal excitability.
GABA has been found to; Relieve anxiety, Improve sleep, reduces depression symptoms, relieve symptoms of PMS, Decrease Inflammation, Improve Focus in ADHD
L-Theanine
L-Theanine is a naturally occurring amino acid found in green tea, with the ability to cross the blood-brain barrier.
Theanine has been shown to be responsible for the calmative effects of Green Tea, that are known to induce a relaxed but alert state. This resulting calmative state without sedation is what makes L-Theanine such a popular nootropic to combine with stimulants due to the “flow-state” that results.
L-Theanine has been shown to assist with the following: Anxiety, Focus, Learning, Mood
Additionally, L-theanine has been shown to have positive effects on stress levels as well as various neurotransmitters in the brain.
It is known as natural ananxiolytic because it can have a calming, sedative effect on the body and mind without making you feel drowsy — which is why it’s often used to reduce anxiety, hyperactivity and sleep-related problems.
One of the most well-researched L-theanine benefits is its ability to promote relaxation and fight stress. It is said to be “a relaxing agent without causing sedation,” meaning it can help improve your ability to deal with stress without making you feel lethargic or tired.
Passiflora extract
Passion flower may be helpful in reducing anxiety and has long been known as a folk remedy. It’s believed that certain compounds found in passion flower may interact with some receptors in the brain provoking relaxation. Because passion increases GABA, the activity of some brain cells that may be causing anxiety is
lowered and makes you feel more relaxed.
Passion flower may help reduce and possibly eliminate insomnia, anxiety, menopause, ADHD and even more serious conditions such as seizures, high blood pressure and asthma, just to name a few.
Studies have shown that passion flower may be just as effective as synthetic drugs for generalised anxiety disorder.
Valerian root extract
Studies show that valerian reduces the time it takes to fall asleep and improves sleep quality, so if you can’t sleep, it may be just what you’re looking for.
Valerian contains a chemical called linarin, which creates a sedative effect. Valerian extract can cause sedation by increasing your brain’s GABA level.
By reducing anxiety and improving the length and quality of sleep, valerian root can significantly help with daily stress management. Chronic stress can make you feel anxious, but anxiety can also make you feel more stressed out.
Hops
Hops treat headaches, relieving your tensed nerves. It is said to contain a sedative effect on your psychological health which is why hop flowers ease headaches a minor migraine rapidly – it helps enhance blood circulation in your brain. Additionally, when you consume it on a regular basis, it begins loosening your stressed
and tensed shoulder and neck muscles.
Hops is a powerhouse of a compound called xanthohumol. It functions to protect the cells of your brain from the oxidative damages and stress.
